build or buy sub box?

Hi, I want to add a sub under the back seat of my 06 screw. Just wondering if anyone here has built thier own box, and how it went and sounded. I have never done it before and didnt know if i could do it myself or not. I have been told that you have to get the right amount of air space. I have a 10 and a amp but just need a box.

As far as buying a box goes, where do i go? I only want a box to go under the drivers side rear seat. so it would be under the middle and drivers side back seat. I would like to keep the space were the jack is. please let me know.. thanks

I assume the 06 would be just like my 05. You can build your own pretty easily or you can buy from musicmoose.net or supercrewsound.com. Those are just a couple that make boxes specifically designed for our truck. You might can buy an off the shelf box and slide it under there as well. You would just have to do some measuring. There are tons of options. It just depends on how much money and time you want to put in to it.

I did my own and it sounds great. It sticks out past the seat a about an inch, but does not interfere with leg room. Check out my gallery.

if you have the tools and the time to build your own box it will probably come out way better than any prefab box, even the ones from screwsound and musicmoose.

although screwsound and music moose boxes arent too shabby
