"I have yet to see someone (besides me) do it either"
that is what you said which led me to believe you have already done it.....

I got 2 12s in my truck with mor then enough air. And people tell me all the time that they thought it came from ford that way. Still a working progress, im looking at putting an armrest console ontop of the box, and then getting some better subs

The maximum inside box depth I could go with my previous box (10's) was 5 1/2" . The 10's I used were exactly 5 1/2" . The new Premier 12's I'm using are only like 3 1/2" deep , so depth is not a problem . Box height is the problem you run into when using 12's . I've had a number of Supercrew owners tell me that it is impossible to do 4 12's . Making a box for 2 12's would be simple but 4 is a different ballgame .There is a large hump that rises up , maybe 4 inches , along the back wall . This is what creates the challenge .The hump is there to hold the (i'll call it a horseshoe) that the rear seat latches to .

Are we talking about the same thing here ??? You said you want to put a console on top of your box . This tells me your box is between the front seats .This post is about putting 4 12's behind the rear seat . I said that it is simple to make a dual 12" box to go behind the rear seats . I don't think we are talking about the same hump .

The U bolt and hump

And yah heh i was thinking you were talking to me saying its easy to make a enclosure for 2 12s (specifically refering to mine) and not saying in general, or in the back wall.

I like your painted TB cover, i might have to go dig mine out and PTM my truck... Yah i didnt even think 48" of subs could fit in the opening of the wall. The subs pictured are 10" right? also are those retaining rings for show or are they designed like that (meaning part of the sub)?

Wow, I didnt know those Screws had that much room behind those seats. I guess Ive only seen one with the storage area still intact, instead of take out like Patman's.
