Sub Break In?
So I got all of my system in yesterday, and will be installing it tomarrow after doing some fabrication to my current sub box. I got the SI BM 10"(that thing is a monster!) and an alpine MRD M605, and a complete 4gauge wiring kit from knukonceptz.com. So my question is, what is the best way to break my sub in? Do i just jump right in with some pounding lows or do i take it easy at first? Also, how long should it take to get it well broken in?
Unless it has a specific way to break it in in the owners manual, I just play it easy for about 2 minutes to make sure everything is ok with it and everything is right, then **** on the thing...
Well I live in Texas, I'll be doing the install tomarrow, and it is supposed to be 75 so I think I will be alright on the temperature part. I think I'll just keep it down while adjusting amps and then crank er' up!!!
Well my Rockford Fosgate HX2 Punch 12's recommended 30 minutes of low volume, deep bass, then you can crank it...

Hmm, I always used to think the same way and waited a bit to crank it...but now my stereo is usually going full tilt within 2 minutes of strarting the truck and leaving my house in the morning-regardless if its -20 degrees or 100 degrees outside. Never had a problem with it.
