Help Me Pick New Subs

Ok, I made a major move and pulled the seat lift kit out. I did not realize how much headroom was lost and now I need the headroom (lmi kit for sale). So, I am going back to a dual 10" setup with a box made to slide under the seat. Here is my list so far. Let me know what you think I should get.

Power: 275 x 2 @ 4 ohm or 1,050 x 1 @ 4 ohm bridged.

Arc Audio 10" Arc Series
Image Dynamics IDQ 10"
Elemental Designs 11Kv2
Adire Audio Koda 10
Stereo Integrity BM10

Subs must have a mounting depth around 5.5", as everyone knows.

Thanks.

I've used the IDQ10 in 2 of my trucks. Was pushing about the same wattage to it that you have. Sounded very good. Nice and tight . I'm kinda partial to Image subs but thats what I've been using for the last 10 years.

I dont have any experience with any of the other subs you have listed so I cant help ya there.

You may want to checkout Diamond Audio subs. I have the D1 (lower end) with 5.4" mounting depth, but I think the D3's and D6's (mid-upper end) have around 5.6" depth. You could probably get them to fit.

smitty....I love Image subs. I would have an IDMAX right now, if it would fit. I actually have one 10" IDQ from my Honda Pilot install. I would just need to pick up another.

bamorris....I tried a Diamond D5 at one point and was not impressed. Their TDX line are incredible. I used one 10" in a ported enclosure in my old Acura TL with 1,000 watts from a Memphis Belle and it was one of the best I have heard. But, again, the TDX will not come close to fitting.

I know I haven't heard one yet...but my nod goes to the BM. I'm just really impressed with the MAG so, hopefully the BM will live up to it's potential. Plus, no one has complained yet.

The jury is still out on them I guess. I still have the extra IDQ and I will probably just get another one of those to at least try them. Might save myself a bunch of money if they work. I know the SQ will be there. I just want the impact too.

Like you said there, might as well pick up another IDQ and see how it goes for you...

If not-I vote BMs too

i would go with 2 - kicker compvr 10" dual 4 ohm voicecoil subs using 1.9 cuft. box sealed or 1 - kicker 12" compvr dual 2 ohm voicecoil sub ported using 1.75 cuft.tuned for 33hz.

but, if I had to do it over... SI BM... I have not heard one.. but from what I read... I would have to check it out......

2 12 Idmax's on the way!! Yea buddy. Sorry had to put that. I would also go with the si BM's. Like Bry said, i have not heard one negative thing about them and plus they're the brother to the mag so you can't go wrong there. If it was a piece of crap then SI wouldn't be putting their name on it. Thats what i was originally going to get but changed my mind when i came across the new box design. Wait about a week or so and BestNTX should have his installed and can give us some feedback.
