For materials you'll need your 3/4" MDF wood, a tube or two of Liquid Nails, tube or two of silicone, and screws. Thats all you'll basically need. Some people like to spray undercoating or spray on truck bed liner inside the box to help seal it up more...I never do, just make sure you get your joints sealed up good. Doesnt really matter either way you do it.
As far as tools-a second set of hands is always nice, if not, clamps are your friend. A table saw to cut the wood (if you dont have a table saw, you can use a circular saw-clamp a straight edge to the board, then run your saws guide along it while you cut and youll end up with a nice straight cut) A drill and a bit to drill pilot holes and screw in the screws, caulk gun, square, tape measure...
Youll need to look at your subs manual or else look it up on the internet to find out how much air space it needs...it varies from sub to sub, not all 15's require the same amount.
