well I was going to go with a seat lift & two 10's (either 2 rockford P210, or P310) and an amp- but my stereo guy got pissed at the shop, and quit- since then, the shop has gone downhill...bad. and im not willing to go back there to finish my setup- (MB Quart premium components front and back, Alpine V12 MRV-345, alp 9855 h.u. w/ highspeed ipod control)
sooo im interested in a JL S.Box did some searching, but most were old posts, and 'just installed' threads- any experienced reviews welcome
and im trying to decide between the JL 250/1 mono, or the JL 300/2 (bridged) to power the stealthbox... which would you do?
if you'd shy away from the JL, give me a lineup- box/sub/amp budget is around 1000-1300

Its very cost effective to make your own box. Its quite easy, and you can make it exactly like you want it to be. There are tons of great pics and tips in my thread about my box, i posted along the way.

thanks for your review there jondog- sacramento now eh? bit of a change from any of those MT cities...if you can even call them that lol) yea i'd definitely go with a remote gain control- made that mistake for about a month in my 92 cherokee with 2 type-R 12's...
patman- thanks for the heads up, will definitely browse thru and see what i can find/ and put it in relation to my schedule

I had the JL stealth box in my last truck and loved the way it sounded. I used the 250/1 to power it, but it probably could have handled a bit more power, plus I like it loud!
If you have the time and some basic wood working experience, you can usually do a real good job of building a box that sounds good, but the JL stuff is great for just wiring up and jamming out right away. If you don't need to be heard 3 blocks away, I say go with the stealth box!

i dont need to be heard 3 blocks away, but i do need to be heard at the ball game, with the windows down, or at the lake on the waverunner-
i want it to hit clean/crisp. how loud would you guys call it-
thanks

Wait, on the waverunner at the lake!? That's pretty loud! I like it!
If that's the case, you'd probably be better off to build a box, IMO, the stealth box was good and clean, but not spectacularly loud.
Good Luck!

he's talking about the SI MAG go to audiojunkies.com and they have them there. If you did't want to go with a seat lift you could do a couple of SI BM 10's they have a 5.6" mounting depth

Just so you know. I will NEVER recommend any audiobahn products.
I wish I could get a deal on SI MAGs/BMs, but can't. I got a one time deal on my pair...I got lucky.
