IDMAX vs. SiMag

How do they compare SQ and SPL? Im looking for a SQ sub but i still want to set off car alarms.

The benefit of IDMAX is you can find them used allot more than you can the Simags so I might be able to get two of them for the price of one SiMag 12.

Either would go into a sealed box, rock, and country music mostly, some classic rock, some metal.

Both are considered a SQL sub.

The IDMAX12 has a mounting depth of 8.25". So depending on how you are going to install it, that might be a downfall. The MAG has a mounting depth of 6.75".

The IDMAX12 has more wiring configurations. It comes in 2 and 4 ohm DVC. The MAG only comes in 2 ohm DVC.

Both has it's pros and cons. If I had the room, I think I would have 2 IDMAX12s...but I'm not sure. I would have to do an A & B comparison in this truck before I decided.

I agree with Bryan. I love the IDMAX. But, there just is not room for an under the seat install. Even a 10" is too deep. I would have one or two of them in a heartbeat if not for the mounting depth problem.

Blood,

Very good price if they are legitimate and not factory refurbs or something. Honestly, there are tons of them for sale on the car audio forums. Great used ones in the $200-300 range. If you have the room and the power, you can not go wrong with the IDMAX.
