2006 kingranch, did not come with subwoofer , i was able to pic up a original unit and found the plug under the rug but does not work ?? do you have to set it up with the radio ??

 

I'm not certain, so don't quote me or anything, but if you pull the head unit, you should find a 3rd socket plug tied off to a harness back there. You might be able to find it and plug it in without even removing the deck..

The worst you can expect, is that you'll need a different head unit to make it work... but again, I don't know for certain.

 

You need to make sure you have the audiophile head unit to make this work as the crossover for the the sub amp unit is in the head unit. You will have to pull your head unit out and make sure it has the third plug input, then locate the plug for it. The plug on mine was taped back over itself on the main harness to the head unit.

I have a 06 and I just found out that the later models came with a factory OEM sub......I have the speaker........so what you guys are saying is the harness is there in my 06 but I will have to get the audiopile HU for this setup 2 work......???? Thanks

 

well pretty much figured out from doing a few more searches that I have to have the audiophile HU......only thing is that its hard to find them.......anyone know where a good place to find them.......?? I looked at ebay.....nothing.....I have the 6CD MP3 but its not the audiophile.....it really bites having the speaker and not the right radio.......!!!!
