I do not know much about audio equipment. The speakers in my 97 are all crackling when i turn up the volume. I stopped in at hhgregg(the wife was shopping nearby) and saw the infinity, pioneer and one other brand. the sales dude played all three speakers and the infinty ($119 set) sounded like the other 2 sets ($99 an $29) put together.the clarity was completely different on all three. I don't need super bass knocking my rearview mirror loose, but i do like clear along with loud at the same time. Can some one tell me what my options are as far as a general replacement quality speaker would be? i see a lot of posts here that infinity is not the best choice. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The stock speakers are 6x8 front and rear according to two speaker books i looked at. Can i easily fit a 6x9 with a little trim work? Thanks.will
