Under seat box question

I have found a bunch of archived posts on here of people managing to fit a sub box under the rear seat of their truck without using a seat lift kit (usually to fit two 10" subs). The problem is that because they were archived no links/pictures still worked.

I am trying to find out if I can fit a single 10” (ED 11Kv.2) in a 0.5cf sealed box under the passenger side of the rear seat (besides the transmission hump) but so far can’t find too much. Most people have seat lift kits or more than 1 sub etc. Anyone have any pictures of know if this size box will fit?

If I can't get the 0.5cf to fit for a 10", then I have my eye on an 8" sub that only needs a 0.35cf box. Hoping to get the 10" under there though.

Thanks.

I do not think there will be any premade boxes that will fit under the passengers side but, that sub will fit under the seat with no problems. You will probably have to build your own box. Getting .5 cubes should be no problem either. I had that sub in a musicmoose box and a q logic box under the driver's side. Great little sub.

I have two 10" subs under my seat. I did not use a seat lift kit. However, my seat does not fold down all the way. It is not at all noticeable (less than 1/2") or even an issue. I know you said you are only using one sub but this is something to consider. You will most definitely have to get a custom box built but with a shallow sub, I would imagine it will fit under the seat fine.

Go on ebay and type in f-150 speaker box. They come pre-made for your f-150.

2 10's

I used the box from supercrewsound.com and was able to put in 2 P310D4 subs from fosgate. no seat lift required. Snug fit. I had them add the extra 5/8" to the box to compensate for the depth of the subs.

Sounds good for me. I would prefer 12's but this will do for now til I get the money to do it.

who makes the box for the 12's. All I ever saw was ones for 10's and they said in a warning do not cut for 12's. Also there is an airspace issue as well.

Check this link. I'm about ready to do an upgrade for the doors & subs though, I think. Kinda wanting to do 2 12's & some 6.5's in the doors.

Here's a link to my 2000 with a single 10 and no seat lift. The box cost me about $50.00 to build in materials including the MDF and carpet. The only thing with not lifting the seat is you are limited on your subs as far as mounting depth goes.

That box looks very very cool, did you draw up the plans yourself? or get them from another source?
