Amp cutting off randomly

My amp ( I believe is the problem ) seems to be cutting off randomly. Sometimes when Im driving my subs will just cut off. It often seems to happen if I turn the volume up really loud. Im not sure if the amp is overheating or what. Does anyone know what this is caused from?

How long has it been between the time the system was installed and when it started meesing up.

I would check the subs ohm load, RCA connections, amplifier power/ground connections and voltage, remote wire voltage and connections, and the subs connections to the amp(if you have a prefab box, check connections inside from the sub to the china plug).

Ok ok, I call it the "china plug" because it is a dead giveaway of a cheap box, but it is the speaker wire terminal.
