Big 3 Replacement

I'm wondering about whether I should do the big 3 replacement before I do this system install. It's only an Infinity Reference 5761a amplifer running in 5 channel mode. So that would only be a total of 515 watts. My trucks electrical system should be able to handle this without dimming of lights and such right?

I've already looked into the stiffining capacitor and I'm not doing that. From what I've read that just adds to the problem. I'm curious is all. Thanks ahead of time!

I have an 05 SuperCrew Lariat and I have run up to just under 1,000 watts with no problems and I have yet to do the Big 3 upgrade. I am kinda setting that as my point of doing it. I am getting ready to install a third amp and my power will go to 1,135. That may be pushing it but, I am going to try first. 500 watts or so should be no problems at all. I am running 735 watts right now and I have no problems.

I have a JL 500/1 and a JL 450/4 and I do not have any issues despite NOT doing the big 3 yet. I do however plan on doing it in the near future.

Cool, that's good to know, I don't plan on going above 500 or so I should be in the clear.

not really necessary unless you are running ridiculous power. im running 800 watts RMS to my 12 and 100 RMS to each component up front and im ok. no excessive voltage drop under heavy operation
