Tools???

Im getting ready to redo my whole audio system in my truck and I plan on taking out most of the interior. (2000 reg cab, shouldnt be too much) But I was wondering what are some good tools to have so im not killing myself trying to do this?

Im planning on some 6.5" components in the doors so im probably going to need to cut some metal. Im going to mount the tweeter somewhere higher in the door panel so I will have to cut some plastic holes. Im going to have an amp under the passesger and driver. Not sure how im going to mount that.(bench seat) I already have a prefab dual sub box that I just need to secure so it doesnt slide around. I want to sound deaden as much of the truck as possible.( work truck so i have plastic/rubber mat instead of carpet)

I have acces to a number of tools but im thinking Im going to need some specialty tools like panel poppers, some type of sheet metal cutters and other stuff. Can anyone recomend some good tools to buy to make this job easier? Also, what is good to cut 2 gauge wires?

Here is what I have or plan on getting...
HAVE
subzero dual sub box
2 x Polk Momo 10" subs
hifonics 2x100w rms @ 4 ohms
2x200w rms @ 2ohms
1x400w rms @ 4 Ohms
Power Acoustin 2 gauge amp kit
Aiwa Cd player
Rockford Fosgate T5002 amp (should be here wednesday)

Planning on getting
Polk MMC6500 components
some type of sound deadener
distribution block
tools

Thanks

The kick panels and silll plates all just pop off. For the door panels, the only tool you will need is a phillips screwdriver to take out two screws, then lift the door panel up and off. This is assuming you have power windows/locks. If you have manual windows or locks, Im not sure whats involved to get the crank off, or unhook the locks. If I remember right, the plastic panel just has those plastic 'rivot' type things where you push in the center, then pull them out.

You will also need something to cut the metal in the door, as you said. When I mounted my 6.5 comps, I just had to cutslits between the rear screw holes that held the old speakers in, then just bend it back into the door some. Then I screwed my baffle into the inner door skin with some short sheetrock screws and mounted my mid to that.
For the amp I have mounted on my floor, I took some fairy short, but fat screws with big threads and just screwed it into the carpet, making sure not to go through the floorboard. I didnt think it would work to well, but my amp stays right where it should, even with the way I drive. But with your rubber floor Im not sure how well that would work. If it has the shaggy like deadening under it, the screws might stay in that. Or if all else fail screw right through the floor and put some silicone on the back side of the screw, under the pickup, to keep water and such from getting in there. Just make sure not to drill through anything important.

Bolt cuters should cut that wire right in half.
