FIRST OF ALL I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO TAKE OFF THE DOOR PANEL TO INSTALL THE UPGRADE SPEAKERS FOR THE 01' LARIAT 4 DOOR. I WAS LOOKING FOR A GOOD SOUND BUT NOTHING SUPER IMPRESSIVE JUST LOUDER THAN THE STOCK SPEAKERS. I WAS LOOKING AT THE PIONEER 6x8 3 WAY SPEAKERS. THEY ARE THE UPGRADE AND FIT RIGHT IN THE ORIGINAL SPACE WHERE THE FACTORY SPRKS. WENT, THEY ARE 220 WATTS. IS THAT EVEN WORTH THE $120 OR IS THE SOUND UPGRADE NOT MUCH. WHAT IS THE FACTORY WATTAGE SYSTEM ALREADY INSTALLED.HOW MANY WATTS I MEAN. IF THIS IS WORTH IT I SEE TWO SCREWS AT THE BOTTOM AND TWO SCREWS ON THE UNDERNEATH SIDE OF THE HANDLE PART. NOT THE HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR BUT WHERE YOU GRAB TO OPEN AND COLSE THE DOOR DO I JUST REMOVE THE SCREWS AND IT POPS OFF

That is a lift off type door panel, meaning it lifts up and out, it is NOT held on with pry out type clips. If memory serves there is usually a screw or screws hidden behind the top panel where the power locks/windows are. Once all the srews are out the whole panel lifts up then out. As far as being louder you should consider more power for the system. Rule of thumb Speakers are the voice, power is the volume. If you like how the speakers sound but wish the volume **** went to 11 than an amp is in order.
