Single 15''

alright ive got a 97 supercab and ive got 2 12s....problem is i have them on the back seat and sometimes stand them up behind my seat which is great for room but still big as hell....im considering dumping both (which arent very strong anyways) and getting a single 15'' to throw behind the seat(hopefully about 3000w).....ive never really heard a 15 in a truck and i was curious to know if the quality of sound would be good?....any suggestions?

Kinda depends on the sub. What 12's do you have now? What size and kind of box are they in? What amp (how much power)? Are you looking for SQ, SQL or SPL? I would assume SPL. A very good 15" would be a SI 15" MAG...great SQ and the ability to get loud w/o losing SQ.

I've always perferred the sound of a 12" over any other size sub. I have two 12" MAGS going in my truck w/ just over a cube each (sealed). They will be powered by a Zapco 9.0 (so the power will be there).

No, I'm not suggesting that. You can get what you want...it depends on your tatse. I was wondering why 2 12's are not working for you. I would think 2 12" subs in the right enclosure and powered right would be plenty for most people.

But, if you decided to go with a 15"...I suggest the SI 15" MAG. Whatever you decide, make sure you build a good enclosure and power it right...to say the least.
