To upgrade...or not to upgrade....

...that is the question

Ok i got a 04 screw with the audiophile package (sub and all). I just recently installed a Kenwood DDX-7015 HU and a Sirius tuner. I'm loving it, but i dont know if I wanna do more. I've been looking at new enclousers for 2 10's. Problems is the maxium size you can go (depth wise) is 6", but all the real nice subs are over 6". I'm afraid I will go throught all that upgrading and wont see that much of an improvement. Same goes for the speakers.

Whats yalls thoughts?

Custom build your own enclosure. I have a regular cab and that's what I'm doing.

If you like the stereo the way it is now, might as well keep it that way for now. There is always room for impovement later on.

If yo think you arent going to be able to tell the diffrence between the stock 8" sub and 2 good 10" subs (even if they cant be monsters) You are crazy. THere would be a huge diffrence.

If you are happy, hold out. If you DO decide to upgrade (And I'm sure you will at some point), just remember that you WILL get the upgrade bug. That is, the never ending desire for more. Once you have the initial wiring done, it becomes very simple to just swap parts out (eg. bigger amp, new sub, etc). With each of those will come other requirments (thicker wire, new battery, bigger enclosure, etc). So just keep in mind that once you start, the only thing that will stop you is a lack of $$$, or hospitalization from migranes

If you like it, keep it, cause like the others have said, you'll soon wanna upgrade. I guess it really depends on how much $$$ u have. If you can afford it, than why not, cause there's always another upgrade for something on ur truck. If you can't, than I'd say keep some in the bank for other stuff, still for your truck of course (ie: gas, tires, rims, suspension, etc...)
But overall, it's about YOU. all what u want.
