Ordered Q-logic Sub Box Tell Me what to fill it with!

After toying with the Idea of buying Brypink's Insane Dual 10W7 box I finally had a reality check and realized that I can't spend more than 2K on my system. So, I am back to my initial plan.

Alpine IVA-W200 (almost ordered from hookedontronics.com today... but i did't because they are in FL and I would have to pay sales tax)

Alpine MRA-D550 for highs (I want to go with the H701, But If i spend $400 on that I wouldnt have much $$ left for a decent amp, I think I will be pleased with the Alpine amp.)

Alpine MRD-M605 for Sub

Sub Choices

Infinity Kappa Perfect 10.1 (I have Kappa components all around, I kinda like the brand matching thing... even though it is stupid)

Image Dynamics IDQ

Sound Splinter RL-i10

Treo SSI 10"(missed out on one on ebay last night because I got caught up in the Lakers game!!)

The Q logic box has 5.8" of mounting depth..

Let me know what sub you would choose (feel free to add anything not on the list)

I think any of those subs will serve you well. The only ones I might add are:

Arc Audio 10"

Adire Koda 10"

Elemental Designs 11Kv2

I still have my Arc sub if you are interested. I also have the IDQ in my Pilot. I did have the ED sub and I still have the Koda. All are fantastic. I can not really tell you on the other subs listed as I have not heard any of them. I had the Infinity Kappa but, never a Perfect. Let me know on the Arc. I will make you a great deal.

Dconder... You used to have all those subs in a Q logic box right? Which one did you like the best?

If you want to sell any of those 10" subs you have PM me about it.

I have a Perfect 10" in my Q-logic. I've had the regular Infinity in a different box and mostly the difference is power. You can still get the older version and even the new regular version for $50-$100 and the Perfect for $100-$150. You also need to decide if you want a single 4ohm or dual depending on your amp. SOme of the subs are way too deep. Audiobahn has a nice metal sub but the grill thing may protrude too much.

I actually have a Audiobahn ALUM10 right now... but I wanted to try something diffrent.

Im getting a little confused about the Kappa perfects... THe new one is over 6" top mount depth... but I have seen some that have 5.5 or something. It is hard to keep them straight because the name is always the same... there is no version # or anything like that as far as i can tell

There are two versions of the Infinity 1. Reference 2. Perfect (then sub versions such as single or dual coil etc). You will also see older models on ebay that look and may be labeled different but they still fall into the two versions. I beleive the depth is 5" from the bottom of the mount. The top part doesn't matter, there is plenty of room between the surround and the carpet and you only need to know if the magnet will tuck inside the box so the woofer can be screwed down. Also the box comes with rubber foam strips. I went around the inside lip and also under the edge of the woofer lip to seal it tight. I want to open it back up and either spray some soise stuff or use some sheets and stuff some cotton in there. The box flexes pretty good when cranked to max.

I have an Image Dynamics ID10 v.3 in mine, run with an Alpine. Hits hard enough for me... it never wimpers or complains.

Thanks for all the Input. I got an Arc Audio 10" from dconder here on the forums. I think is basicly the same as an IDQ... I got it mounted in the box and it looks nice... but my amp isnt here yet!
