Dayton Titanic MKIII is a gooooood sounding sub. I've heard lots about SI Mags and SS-Rlps but have no experience with them. RE SE is a good sounding sub as well.

Just because its a big ol 15 doesnt mean its slow and sloppy. Its all in the box. 15's can sound tighter than 10's-its the box, not the sub size.

I say Mag too. They kick ****. I wouldnt trade mine for nuffin

lol, I've had my LT handles for about 3 months now. I'm not going to put those in untill I have enuff raammat for the doors too. I don't wanna have to pull the door skins of again if I don't have to (I'm lazy)

I wish SI made a 18" Mag I'd be all over that (can't replace displacement)

Well I guess the MAG it is then.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good place to find a reliable, cheap MAG 15?

And watch the thread jacking Bry, lol. I just might have to take you up on the offer of making measurements in your mom's focus though lol.

I think I may have to go with sidefiring to get the airspace behind the driver how I want it, but I think it will be plenty loud in a hatchback nonetheless.

and I realize a 15 is overkill, and I'm not doing it to be retarded loud and annoying, I just want to have fun and see what a quality 15 can do.

Your going to have to check out some car audio forums. Plan on spending around 300 bucks, give or take-depends a lot on what version you want. The new versions are 500 shipped for a new one.

you wouldn't like the sx's anyway. I had 2 10's and they were pretty sloppy. not really a SQ sub at all. didn't sound good in the truck at all. even in a 3 cube @ 32hz box. (ok 2.9 @ 31) but still I wasn't happy with 2 10's even in the ported box (same box hit low 140's legal) I just wasn't happy with the output I was getting in the truck. I felt like 900ish watts wasn't enuff for each either I ended up having to crank the gain. and even then the SX's liked to tell me I was clipping (sounded like bottoming out)

I know, lol. I only said it because I knew I would never hear the end of it if I didn't say it. I guess I should have added a /sarcasm.

Now I'm on a damn mission to find me a mag 15....

anyone know some sound forums where I can search their classifieds?
