what is the speaker sizes???

Hey guys, Best buy and pretty much everyone like this always have speakers on sale, decent Pioneer 6.5" and 6x9's etc etc. What is the sizes I need for my 2000 reg cab with premium system? I was thinking of an upgrade in all four but don't know the sizes, please help.

I think your right for the rears, either one or the other but aren't the door speakers just round, 6.5" seems common, is it right?

Every 97-03 F150 uses 5x7/6x8's in the front and rear, regardless of what sound package you have.

Right on, I'll do some searchin' for some good speakers, 6x8's may be harder to come by, I don't usually see them, 6x9's and 5x7's I do. Depending, I may get that sub enclosure for the reg cabs as well.

5x7 is essentially the same thing as 6x8. I have a pair of JL Evolution TR570-CXi's in my truck. Also, my truck is very similar to yours, so if you want a stereo solution, check out my gallery.

Awesome, I even have the same head unit. Hey, how's those sub's? Also, interested in an exhaust system, found a good one to fit our trucks, it's on mine made by JBA.

I love my sub
I have a second one sitting still in original packaging beside me.

6.4" Mounting depth means I can't buy a box pre-made that will fit it, so I built my own. I can't really sacrifice any more space behind the seats though, so the second sub won't be in the truck any time soon... (That box is three feet long, 11 inches tall and 8.25 inches in depth, L-ported and tuned to 35Hz)

But in any case, the sub sounds great. Very clear, hits hard and really deep sound for a 10".

I'll check out the exhaust system, I am planning to run some new pipes this summer.

I think it was MTX that makes a moulded piece that replaces the cargo bin, it's sold through Ford Motorsport catalog. The reason I ask on the subs is that they are always on sale, the same or similar Pioneers and was wondering if they were good so thanks for the 411 on them too. I'm going to take some more pics for the gallery including exhaust, the reason I brought it up was I had a hell of a time getting a system in stainless for mine. No magnaflow and other brands couldn't give me straight part #'s, they'd always turn out for something else. So, I got the JBA made K&N branded for less than 400 USD. The K&N one is the exact same as the JBA, just cheaper.
