Brypink has the only forward firing box I have seen. His houses two JL 10W7's. Even with the seat lift kit, I do not think you can face 12's forward. There is just not enough room. I put the seat lift kit and plan on putting a 12" down firing Arc sub. But, it has a depth of only 6". Two 10's is possible but, not a 12. At least not forward firing or not without taking up floor space.

Where do you get the seat lift kit? Thanks.

Here's a possibility for 2 12"s.. This is what i did. its not under the seat like you wanted but fitting 2 12"s is kind of hard to do in these trucks..

Bushtree thats nice setup but I need my back seat. I realy like what Brypink has done I printed a few of his pics out and went to a JL dealer and the first thing they said what theres no way theres enough air space for W7's, and they wanted 3 bills to build the box! I say eff that I'll fab one up on my own. I'll try to stuff some nice rockfords or inifintys in the box. thanks for y'alls input

LMAO

Every shop is going to say that...they want your business!!! They want you to think whatever they build is better. Box building isn't a hard science, escpecially a sealed enclosure. Ported boxes...a little more tricky, but not much. More than likely, I've been building/installing car audio longer than they have. But believe what you want. LOL

JL recommends 1.0 - 1.375 ft^3 sealed for a 10W7 (ideal 1.25 ft^3). Now, I haven't checked what the Qtc is on my box (because I hate math)...but I bet a box with a Qtc of .707 (which is ideal for the true audiophile) for a 10W7 would be a bit smaller. Not positive though (I don't have the fromula here at work), maybe someone can help me out here. Most manufacturers will recommend a box with a Qtc in the low .800's because that's what the "normal" or "average" consumer is used to and likes...this isn't horrible.

Anyway, w/o going into it more and really confusing anyone (including myself...LOL), let me just say my box is a total of 2.23 ft^3 with everything factored in (i.e., MDF thickness, bracing, driver displacement, etc.). Is my box the ideal box (in general) for 2 10W7's...no, but I did get them in my truck when most said it cant be done...and still say it. How's it sound? Darn good if you ask me...but what the heck...what do I know? LOL
