subs cut off

i know i said i was going to get new stuff but i have been saving for and atv. anyway i just built a new box and i tried wiring my subs a different way. they hit harder but when i turn the volume up to a certain level the subs stop hitting. when i turn it back down they come on again. i have the subs bridged on the amp. heres what i have.

amp - http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=16661

subs - http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=14680
the subs are like this but the old style.

Are those subs DVC 4 ohm? Did you wire them in parrallel to a 1 ohm final impedance? Amp is stable to 2 ohms (from that website) and it could be going in protect mode.

No the subs are SVC 4ohm. i was messing around with it some more today. i found out that when they cut out and you leave the volume alone they will come back on. but then go out again.

Voice coils can be melted. I'd get an dmm and check the impedience of the voice coils. See if they have dropped below 4 ohms.
