Sub ohm question

Ok I'm into something new here (DVC) and I need advice on how to wire my subs/amp up so I dont damge anything. I'm looking at diagrams in both manuals from my subs and amp and they kinda contradict each other. I'm thinking one or the other is wrong. What I have is a pair of DVC 4 ohm Kicker CVR 10"s, and a MA Audio M700xe 1000watt amp. The subs are rated 300RMS/600 peak per sub and the specs on the amp are:

2X250 watts RMS @ 4ohm stereo
2x500 watts RMS @ 2 ohm stereo
1X1000 watt max @ 4 ohm bridged

I'd like to get as much power as possible to the subs without damaging something and the more I look at these manuals (and online) the more confused I get. I look at one, it says wire it this way and get X ohm load, look at another diagram from another site and the exact same wiring scheme is claiming a different ohm. I've had systems of my own and put some in for friends but I always just used single coil subs and matched RMS to the amp. Always turned out good but this has me thrown for a loop. Thanks for any and all help guys.

First, is this diagram correct? And second, could I do this and bridge the amp to power both subs. Max for both subs is 1200w and the amp will (claims) push 1000w at a 4 ohm load. I dont know what the RMS bridged power would be but do you think it would exceed the subs maximum RMS rating of 600 watts for the pair?

Yes, to all of the above. That diagram is correct for wiring it at a 4 ohm load and you can bridge the amp to power those subs in that configuration. They will be fine with a little extra power.
