2 10" or 1 10"

I am just curious what everyone would recommend.

I listen to every 80's , 90's , hip-hop , reggae , old country ..

I am planning on using a JL10W3.

I am powering it with the 5 channel memphis belle (1 ohm stable on the sub) so I can run 2 subs with out problems to the amp.

4 door speakers are Infinity 682.7CF ..

What would you guys recommend 2 or 1 10" ?? and if you have a different recommendation for sub/box combo .. my ears are open since I haven't made that purchase yet. I have the amp and door speakers so those items are going in for sure.

Well since I am a firm believer that it is better to have fewer subs in proper enclosures (for maximum output, and overall freq response) I think I would go with 1 10 in the "Best box u can fit in there" since these trucks are cramped on space unless you lose seats.

Yeah, I undertand that. The dual 10 boxes are all shared chamber. I am not a fan of shared chamber. I would rather have individual chambers if I did it.

I keep thinking with shared chamber, I would run into out of phase issues.

I am a single sub man myself. And along with Lumadar, my only suggestion would be to pay close attention to the enclosure size. Having the correct amount of air space can greaty enhance the performance of a sub. One sub in the right box can provide the low, clean sound that it sounds like you are looking for, but can still get nasty when "Baby Got Back" happens to pop up on the radio.

I am leaning towards 2 but airspace is an issue. I need 1.25 and the box is only 1.0 . I am just not sure how much polyfill is going to make up

I would agree 100% and if your worried about volume add more power and if it's not loud enough add more power. You get the drift

Can you give me an example. I have the memphis belle so the amp is 1ohm stable and will do 1000 watts RMS at 1ohm. The problem is depth. All serious speakers are too deep to go under the seat. The JL10W3 was the speaker SQ wise I have heard.
