Mark from www.supercrewsound.com just sent me an email with the following items as a package for a discounted price. . What do you think of this?

The box, 2 Audiobahn AWC10T subs, and a Power Acoustik LT1440.2 amp.

I wouldn't use either, even if they were free.

Can you recomend another amp to go with the IDQ? or maybe two IDQs?

Do you think one IDQ10 would be comparable to a Kicker L7 8?

I have a friend telling me to just do two Kicker CVRs, a Kicker KX700.5, components up front and coaxles in the back?

Thumper, what are you looking for in a system? SQ or SPL cause the two subs your talking about are completly diffrent. The IDQ's will sound super clean where as the Kicker and any Kicker you look at will be for...Bass(for a lack of better discription). If you really want bass, stick with the Kicker but try to find a shop to build you a ported box. IMO ported is the best route for SPL. And as far an amp. I have a five channel and I'll probably never switch back.

Not trying to get to much into your buisness but do you know your budget?
I think it will have alot to do with it. If you have money to spare I would really consider having a box built specifically to a sub. If you want bass, go with the Kicker sub and amp and have a box ported to the proper frequency.
Just for a little insight, I had a box built for a Mountineer I had and it cost me $250. It was about 3.5 cubic feet and port tuned to 33hz.

If you have components, maybe a 4 or 5 channel might suit you better. I like to run seperate amps, but again, that's just me. I also enjoy a sub that is more musical (SQ/SQL) than just plain loud (SPL). That's why I recommended the IDQ10 in a sealed enclosure. Ported enclosures are a PITA and not worth it to me.

Kicker amps are good amps, and I've been told they are under rated. I tend to look at amps such as MacIntosh, Zapco, Arc Audio (older models), Tru, etc...so that's what I usually recommend. JL slash series amps are really good...they are built like a tank, IMO.

Again, you want a sub to listen with your music...why not a SQ sub? The IDQ will get plenty loud for you. If I were on a budget, it would be the sub I would be running.

No offense, but your kinda difficult. LOL Which is good when you are unsure, you just want to buy which best for you.

Another idea I thought of is...you can do a mini version of my box and put dual 8W7's in it...it probably can be done without a seat lift. Just a thought.

I went to my dealer last week at home and he said I could put a 10 inch kicker behind the back seat. He said a guy just bought one like that and it fits perfectly and all. Still trying find more out about it.
