Fosgate shallow mount subs
Fosgate shallow mount subs
Has anyone used these yet?
I'm currently running some cheapy Visonik as the choices of sub that fits a depth of 5" or less is pretty low. I have an MTX amp that pushes 366 rms into 2 ohms and would like to have it hit a little harder. The Shallow mount 10" Rockford is supposed to handle 400 RMS.
I haven't had great luck with RF in the past so I'm hopeful they have gotten better.

I know RF is over rated, but I have 4 15/16" mounting depth, and the ID's don't fit that from their website says.
I need a 10" shallow mount woofer... The pioneer 12 doesn't work, and I can't find any info on that AE one mentioned on their website.

Sorry the AE home site changed to some weird German thing, anyways this is a vendor of AE stuff.

Tarkin I don't know which rockford subs you have had but the shallow mounts are a P3 sub not a P1. Some rockford subs are more fussy about what box you put them in, but with the proper box and power this should work well. I'm thinking about one of these for under the smaller back seat in my scab powered by the sub channel of the 25tolife power1000 under the other. The 4 channel section is bridged to a set of Boston Z6's in the doors.
Earthquake makes the SWS subwoofer, it's a shallow mount. With sizes ranging from 6.5" - 15". I haven't heard them but a buddy of mine that competes recommended them when I was looking for a shallow mount.

nothinbutaford, my enclosure seems to fit the specs RF asks for so I think i'd be ok with it. I think they recommend .65-1cf and my box is like .75. I know it's a stage 3, but my amp should easily push it. I think the RF sub is rated for 400 RMS for the dual voice coil, and my amp pushes out 366 rms into 2 ohms. It sounds like a pretty close match to me anyways.
Brypink I'll check out that earthquake one.
The other one posted here is a single 8ohm voice coil, so i'm not entirely sure how well it would work in my setup.
