Amp confusion!?

Im planning on getting 4 Infinity speakers (62.7i and 60.7cs) which all have an impedance of 2 ohms each. Is it better to bridge a 4 channel amp to power the front components and have the rears powered off the HU or should I power all 4 speakers off the amp? If the speakers have an RMS wattage of 90 and the amp has an RMS output of 150W X 4 into 2 OHMS, would it be necessary to bridge the channels or is the amp already putting out enough power? Finally, since the speakers are 2 OHMS, can I bridge the amp to power the components if the amp says "4 OHM stable in bridged mode"? Would I be better off with the Infinity speakers/components that are 4 ohm rated?

Your amp should be stable at 2 ohms in 4 channel mode. Bridging it might overload the amp not to mention that if it's a 150x4 at 2ohm it would be about 450x2 (guessing) at 2 ohm. You have to remember that when you bridge, the amp's internal impedence drops. That'll be WAY too much power for those speakers. 150W is a bit much, but I don't know if infinity's will take that punishment. I would think they would. It would be helpfull if you posted which amp you have.

I agree with viper. I would not recommend bridging the amp for 2 ohm speakers. Just run one speaker to each channel. If your amp is 150 x 4 and the speakers only rated at 90 watts, then the amp is more than enough. You will have to be a little careful even at 150 x 4.
