Sub Comparisions

For those of you out that want to see the results of an independent study on subwoofers, heres the site:
http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=15791
I read these test reports all the time. The bottom line comes to user taste, Controls, feel etc. No one system fits all end users.

Personally I never really liked that comparo, even though it did compare a number of drivers. I think most people would have rather seen internet companys stacked up against the mainstream companys. I think the reason internet companys werent used, was solely because the data wouldnt work in ED's favor. Its obvious that ED has fallen behind in the super sub market. None the less its a nice comparison, however most of those drivers wont easily fit into the cab portion of a truck.

Again GA....This thread was for info only for those that might be looking. This thread isnt a debate on anything. Start your own thread to argue what is the best info available.

Anyways, I can respond however I choose, I dont feel I was out of line, just stating my thoughts on the comparo. If you didnt know those are ED's message boards and pretty biased towards their products. Either way it is useful if you are looking into any of those products.

Lean N Cut - That comparison used drivers that the company sent in on their charge, and with their consent, many companies declined to have their products tested.

Again you choose to apply negitive comments towards possible help to someone that was looking at those brands. Your right that you can choose to respond however you choose, but this board is not to cut down anyone on their suggestions. One would like to know, if your a subject expert, or just one that adds their $.02, how come you dont have listed what kind of truck you have or mods you have done?
Sometimes the best words spoken are the words not spoken.
Pay more attention to what is in the thread.

I dont think there were really any negative comments in there, nor do I think he meant to be negative if that is the way you see it. He was simply stating that due to that it may be a little biased. Heck, at the end of his post he even said -quote "None the less its a nice comparison".

Now Im not trying to step on you Opie, Im simply stating that I think you two are on the wrong page, and your just taking his post misleading. An easy mistake.

And as far as the "your truck and mods in your sig"-whats it matter.
Does anyone really care that someone has added a bug deflector to thier truck. I think not. And just because you dont have all the fancy stuff that others load their sigs with doesnt mean you dont know anything about it.

No hard feelings meant not trying to hurt anyone here, so please dont take it that way.

First off, when you make a general thread like this, you are begging for comments and questions. I commented that it was a well done comparison, but may not have much use on these boards.

I haven't said anything bashing a company, every company has their strengths and its just that ED's strength currently isnt the high end sub market, atleast until they bring out their new SPL orriented sub, their strength is their solid, simple amps and their vastness of products for an internet company. I was simply using ED as a possible explanation why internet companys weren't used in the comparo, it makes sense too. If you were trying to sell a product would you put up false information or results to a comparison where similarly priced products out performed your product? I know I wouldn't.

Again I dont support a brand, I suport a product.

I dont have my truck and mods in my sig, because I am lazy and dont care whether or not people know what kind of truck I have. Does that make me any less credible for the amount knowledge I have picked up about car audio?

Its worthless to even acknowledge someone that belittles someone that was just letting people know there were alot of sites out there with actual benchmarking. Again, the best words spoken are the words not spoken.
