Speaker Opinions

I am lost when it comes to stereos and speakers. So I need your opinions. I had a 99 F150, I had a Pioneer HU and Alpine door speakers. No amp to the speakers and an MTX powered sub box. (for sale) The shound wasn't bad, but could have been better, maybe with an amp? Now I have an 05. I want to get a nice sounding system in there. Not so much that my license plates fall off. Here is my problem. Under the back seat not only do I have the jack, I have a power supply for my strobes and the box for my siren. (Fire Dept) The power supply might not be too hard to put somewhere else, but the siren box is pretty big. If I went with good door speakers and an amp, would I get decent base? I know it wouldnt be close to having a sub. What do u guys suggest? I plan on getting the stuff piece by piece the putting it in in the spring. It is no fun doing wiring in winter. Thanks for your help guys. Eric

Well you wont get the bass that you are desiring with the components but it's a good start. I think you could probably relocate your jack and fit a sub under that seat. Under the rear seats are about the only place you can fit a sub in an extended cab. I think you should start with a good set of components and see how you like and then move forward from there. And i would amp the components also. Keep us updated
