Basic Questions

Probably borderline dumb questions even.
I have two 12"s and two 6x9"s.
They were in my 4Runner but I just got an '02 Supercrew cab.
I've looked a bit, but I'm not sure how to make this stuff work. What's the typical setup in these trucks?
I figure I'll need a custom box, what should I look for?
What would you do with the sub and speakers I have in my situation?
(Be creative, even if that mean's "trade them in for 10"s".
I also have two amps, but I figure I can put those someplace inconspicious once I find where the subs will go.
Thanks.

Lol, no, not a dumb question.

You might have to ditch the 6x9's, unless you want to cut some metal and make them fit in the back doors (or front if you want).

As for the subs-What kind are they? Depending on depth and required airspace, you might be able to stick them under the back seat. There are quite a few companys that make prefab boxes for these trucks, Supercrewsound.com, Proboxrocks.com, uhhhh, those are all I can think of off the top of my head. Check into those and see if you can stick your subs in there. A lot of times they require lifting your back seat around 2 inches.

If they wont fit in one of those, you might be able to make a box that they will fit in, if not that, then you will probably have to trade them for something else like you said.

I guess you could put bucket seats in the back and make a console to hold them too, if your willing to loose a spot or two for a person. Or totaly get rid of the back seat and do a box like mine (pics in my gallery, Im kinda embarresed to post em because its not finished

As for the amps, most of the time you will see them under a seat, or on the back wall of the cab (there is a pic of that in my gallery, dont laugh at it either, its temporary lol )

Of course, if you really want creative-I can get creative

They're MTX, a couple years old. I'll try to get a more specific answer to you. How do you go about raising the seats.
I want to keep it all clean looking.
I'll sacrifice sound to make it so.

There is a company out there that makes a seat lift kit, I cant remember what its called though. Something like LMI Welding. If you did a search you could find some more info about it.

Or you can make one yourself.
Im not sure exactley how the seats in the Screw's are, but in my 99 Scab, the seat risers could unbolt from the seat, and you could just stick some C channel, rectangle metal, 2x4's or the like between them, get longer bolts to go through it all, and your set.
