Howdie y'all



I just got me a set of alpine type X components and will be installing them this weekend. I can see that there is a spot where a tweeter could be mounted high behind the door panel. Also, I have been told that I need to fab a bracket because the panel is formed for a 5x7.

Is this true? if so, what have y'all used? MDF? One last question, how do I remove the panels? I started messing around with them and I couldnt see a way to remove it without doing some serious jerkin' around of the panels.

you dont need to take the whole car panel off just the mesh pastic part. There is a space where you can place a flathead in the top right of the mesh (driver's side door). Top left on the passenger side.

 

I removed the grill from the factory speaker, cut a hole in it to fit the new 5.25" speaker and used that as my speaker mount. Look at the pictures in my sig for a better idea.
