Just bought a 05 150 scab i am wondering if i can put 2 12" sub under the back seat? I have all the stuff from my car but need the box or better yet box size..



After doing alot of searching i still see nothing on 12" subs fitting under the rear seat also i have large 12" MTX thunder 8k's. To be honest i dont even know if just the speaker alone will fit under the seat but i am open for any idea's and i def do not want to remove one of the seats to do this..


After spending 2hrs searching and my eyes starting to hurt i finally found and answer Finally ...... Now i have to go messure my subs..

 

those boxes only go up to an 10 inch for you application. Your either going to have to:
1. build your own
2. Get shop to do a custom fab for you
3. downgrade to 10 if you want to use those boxes witch allow i think a maximum of 5.5-5.75 inch of mounting depth.

its going to be hard to put two 12 inch good quality subs in there without raising your seat due to limited airspace.

thanks for the reply but its not going to work even if i made my own box , i just took my subs out of the box i had them and the deph is 6 1/2 .. Forgot they were that big so i have no idea what to do. I know if i try to sell them im not gonna get half of what i paid for them which sucks..

 

if your desperate a shop can custom fabricate a box for you AND make your rear seats higher to give you an additional 2inches of clearance to clear those. You can then tell your passengers that your truck offers stadium seating.
