JL W3's vs. Brahma 12
JL W3's vs. Brahma 12
I just picked up two JL W3's 10" duel 4 ohm subs and built a sealed enclosure for them. For now they are being powered by an old JBL 600.1 which has been around the block. I'm not sure if I was expecting too much from these subs but I just don't get the sound from these subs that I was expecting.
So being the genius that I am, I am looking to pick up a 12" Adire Audio Brahma and run it in a sealed enclosure. I'm aware that I am comparing two 10's to a single 12 and that the Brahama is a bit more expensive. However, I am still curious as two which setup the members would rather have.
One last side note, the JBL is going to be replaced with an Elemental Designs NINe.1 in either case.

The Brahma is a much higher quality woofer than the W3s and should perform better in both SQ and SPL aspects. If you have the room for the Brahma I would definitely go with that... unfortunately I'm not sure if any of the dealers have received any Brahmas from Adire yet, they've been out of stock for some time now.
I havent actually heard the brahma in person but i have heard great things about them. I'm a JL fan and have experience with the W3's and i love the way they sound and perform. I dont think you can go wrong with either.......but if u arent happy with the W3's performance go with the brahma.
