Subs for Rock music?

Hey I was wondering what subs are the best for heavy guitar, hard rock type music. What subs sound good with that style of music and how much are they? Thanks,
-Nick

I have (4) 4 Ways, And An Aftermarket JVC MP3/CD Player. And it Sounds Awesome already for Hard Rock Music. The Bass is Definetely there, But the tweeter's make it good for Guitar.

I'm still looking for a subwoofer, like something small. Maybe around an 8" I've heard The Clarion Camouflage 8" Subwoofer with 100W Amp Sounds really nice for a good, well rounded system.

But it won't give you the thump like 9345798435 12"s in the back of a civic will.

Hope this Helps?

I have a set of 10" solos, although they are well tuned, they sound great for all types of music, especially rock music. The only problem is they are deep subs and require a deep enclosure. I have mine in a sealed box at .88cuft each, filled with polyfill at roughly one pound.

I replaced the stock speakers with Infinity Reference 6X8's and they deliver quite a bit of hard hitting bass on their own.

Since space was limited, I installed a flat powered sub woofer (Kenwood KSC-SW1). It gives a pretty good thump. It does well with metal, even "...and Justice For All" sounds good.
