8s or 10s where to put amp
8s or 10s where to put amp
only been here a short while might even be my 2nd post this is the way it should be people with a common interest helping each other out ihave taken some time and read thru all the good posts and have made some decisions i have a very lo kms 2003 150 sb extcab here is what i have opted for a probox dual down firing box pioneer 3ways in front door pioneer 2ways in the back doors and alpine hu and for a amp i have a very old hafler pa1 that i have had in my other vehicles very happy with its performance i have only 2 decisions left to make because i am not looking for earthquake like thump should i go 8s or 10s 8s are easier to find within mounting depth specs second question my truck has the split bench with the fold down arm rest i am thinking of fabricating a amp mount under the seat which side should i go with as the probox leaves me no room under rear seat the hafler amp is not that large but very heavy do i still need to keep my rca's and my remote turn on wire separate by bringing them in from different sides of the truck thanks for any and all suggestions in advance

what exactly are you wanting advice on? what kind of subs you want? or where to put them...
just clear it up a little for us... so we can provide you with right info...
but if you want bass... but dont want people around you/across the street to hear your thump in your car, MTX 4000 series is good for adding 'thump' without the 'boom' if you get me at all... at least from my expierence... I had a 12" MTX 4000 sub and it hit hard, but not loud enough to annoy the car next to me... even at full volume... if that helped you at all...

you have the idea i don't want to annoy the people beside me i just want a little extra bump like i said. should i set the probox up for 8s or 10s some people say 10s hit really hard what is a good quality 8 and i guess with my amp mtding question i am trying to determine wether putting an amp under the front seats is a good idea or not and are there any pitfalls associated with mtding an amp under a seat does mtx make a 8"sub i listen to mostly older rock ACDC,vanhalen, zep that kind of stuff
