Those of you with Audiophile Sub..

Working on replacing all the door speakers to improve the SQ..

I was thinking about buying the factory Audiophile sub to throw in for a little more of a kick.. Worth it?

What side of the rear does the factory sub go?

They propablly wont be up to par with new speakers, assuming that you are getting decent speakers with a considerable amount of power. What are you exact plans?

I was planning on keeping the factory 6-CD deck, and replacing the door speakers with the Boston Acoustic 2- or 3-way 6x8's..

I do have some JL 10" W6V2's that I could mount under the driver-side rear seat.. but I don't want to deal with the seat lift and I don't want to deal with removing the rear seat to install the amp (Zapco 750, its about 34" long).

My theory was that I'd find the audiophile sub and install it for something simple and clean.. I'm just worried about sound quality..

I guess you have some experience since you have a jl/zapco set up just layin around, lol. If your not gonna bother with a h/u or amp for those speakers then the audiophile sub should be ok. I am not sure about the stock amp situation for those subs tho.

Heh, I do have a bit of experience but always willing to learn more..

No amp for the mids/highs... and I really don't want the aftermarket HU - I love the flow of the factory deck..

Where does the factory sub install? driver or pass. side?
