2001 Supercrew Subwoofer

I have a 2001 F-150 Supercrew and am wanting to get a subwoofer. The only one that is offered is the single 10" sub with a custom box that fits under the rear seat. I want to know if anyone has this system in their supercrew? Does the sub sound good or is it a thud instead of a a nice bass that you would get with a 12" sub? Does the downward force distort or quiet the bass? At $200 for the box and sub, is it worth it?

The downward force usually loudens the thud. And ofcourse its worth it, you can always make your own box if you know anything besides nothing about woodworking. The position of the box in a truck really isnt as important as matching the internal volume to the reccomendations of the sub manfacturerer and not underpowering the sub. Im sure there are other options as far as pre made boxes go for Screws.
