Ordered New Sub

Well, I just got off the phone with Elemental Designs and ordered an 11Kv.2 subwoofer. It is a 10" shallow mount sub. So, here is what I am looking at so far for my 2005 F-150 SuperCrew Lariat:

Kenwood DDX7015 ( installed)

Arc Audio 5150XXK (5 channel amp will go under rear passenger seat and relocate jack)

Elemental Designs 11Kv.2 ( ordered)

musicmoose.net box in tan for single 10" sub under rear driver seat

q-logic kick panels in tan. these look great. i have not decided what to put in them yet. still looking at 5.25" components.

Let me know what you think or any suggestions.

With a nice set of components that sound like it will be a nice system.

Since your kinda going wtih higher end type stuff with the ED and Arc Audio, for components Id suggest maybe looking at Rainbow, Image Dynamics, CDT, some MB Quart, and Dynaudio just for a couple ideas. Diamond even makes some nice components(the HEX series)

Sounds like it will be pretty cool, good luck

I agree...especially with Rainbow and CDT. Also, check out DLS.

Your system is going to sound great!

I would also suggest (if you used a seperate amp) is Treo ssi subs.

Thanks for the comments. I have a really good offer on a set of Rainbow Contour 5 1/4's. If that works out, I am going with those. I hear great things about the Contour series. My sub should be here this week and I am hoping to have the amp installed by the end of the week.

I posted a wanted add on all the car audio forums and someone emailed me with them. $135 shipped. I found them at one place online for around $300. They are brand new in the box. He bought them and never used them.

Well, I have hit a snag in my plans. My Arc Audio 5150XXK amp will not fit where the jack is. It is too long. That is really dissappointing. I think I am looking at selling my Memphis Belle amp and moving the Arc back into the Honda Pilot. I now will be looking for a smaller footprint amp. I may have to go with a 4 channel and use the rear channels for the sub. The JL 300/4 comes to mind as one. Does anyone else have an amp where the jack was?
