stupid question???
Alright this is a dumb question but how do I get the door panels off my truck to mess with the speakers? Because they are just held to the door with little platic rivots that should pop off if you pull on them right? I have tried to pull it off and i have only gotten a couple of them to pop. The rest would not budge and I was putting some muscle into it.... Any tool i might use to help me do this? I also tried to pop them back into place but I must have broken the ones I did get loose so now my panel rattles on the door going down the road....
I have a 2000 F-150 reg. cab xl with just a cheap plastic one-piece door panel by the way.
Thanks
Ben

The way to get off the door panels is:
Remove the plastic piece behind the door lever by popping it off probably with a screwdriver.
Remove the long plastic piece on the back portion of the door that is mounted verticle by pulling it straight off.
Remove the philips screws under each of the previously mention plastic pieces that you removed.
Once both screws are out, grap the panel by the armrest and pull up on it with a good pull and the door should come up and off.
Then simply reverse for install.
There ya go
Hope it works!

The black plastic rivots your talkin about aren't really meant to be reused, so to get the panel installed back without any rattle you'll have to go buy more of the snaps, they're cheap and easy to find so no biggy. The quickist way i found to get them off is to use a small philips head screwdriver and punch through the center. This will work if they are the same snaps used on my truck, which they probably are. Hope this helped.
Do I need to take the window cranker off to? Still not able to get the panel off yet but Im gonna have another go at it.
Thanks for the replies
Ben
