Alpine Type R 5x7s/6x8s, but Crutchfield is telling me they will not fit my vehicle? Are they blowing smoke? Speakers are right here:

componets would have been better, the doors are setup to accept a tweeter

 

There the right size for the opening, the only thing might be the depth of the speaker themselves, however I don't see that being a problem. Make sure to post some pics when you get them in.

 

Well they are in and they sound great! Definitely don't sound like the price I paid. These Type Rs are a great deal. Rj28racer, I'll pass on component speakers. I like a good sounding setup, but I don't require the high frequency response that a tweeter brings. My coaxials sound very bright to my ears as it is. They do sound very thick in the midrange and bass though, which was surprising. I'm happy that the sound is so full.
