I have a 2005 F150 Screw with Audiophile. I like the system OK, but generally replace stock door-panel speakers with better ones. If I go to component kits, do I have to externally power them with an amp, or do I just hook them up using the existing stock speaker wire?

Get an amp. Powering them off even an aftermarket HU leaves much to be desired, but off a stock, low power HU, I wouldnt even try it.
