I've used Kicker amps for a long time, they last a long time and can take a real beating.

I have 1 10" Audiobahn DVC sub in my supercrew. It is driven by a bridged Scosche amp - 220 watts. It is mounted in a single supercrewsound sub box with polyfill. I have stock head unit, and a 2 channel amp driving the rear speakers. All door speakers are Infinity reference.

The sound is great. The system produces more bass than you need, unless your goal is to wake people and look like a total a$$hat as you drive down the road trying to break windows with music that sounds like ***** even at normal volume.

If your the kind of guy that needs to hang fake rubber ********* from the rear of your truck to announce to the world that you're a man, then listen to those who tell you that a sub is no good if you can't produce enough pressure in the cab to pop the windows out.

My 2 pennies worth.

^and that would be the FARTHEST away from what we are saying.

Actully, A-Bahn is made to get loud, so that one kinda bit ya in the ****.

We are saying they arent very qualiy products, and sound like shat to most people who are rreally into car audio and good sounding equipment.

More bass than you need is an oppinion-I have 2 12's that will rattle your eyes out, but you cant hear them from outside because of the sound deadening, I dont give a rats **** if people can hear me outside, or if i break windows. Id rather they not so i dont look like a moron.

And just because it gets loud doesnt mean it sounds like *****. Im very willing to bet-since you think the bass from your one 10 Abahn is to much-that you probably couldnt stand the bass from my stereo, but it would still blow the shat out of your system sound quality wise.

End Rant

Sorry, post like that just enrage me.

i had a 10" Alpine Type S 1022-D (dvc 2 ohm) and ended up pulling the rca's from my amp until i had something else. seriously, i was looking for something a tad bit better from alpine, even though they are almost the most low end alpine you can get.

about a week later i installed a 10" Kicker CompVR and the difference is night and day.

stay away from a-bahn unless you like the fancy chrome (all looks). there's much better available, as some have previously mentioned

since everyone is putting their two cents in and no one has mentioned it i will:

for what you plan to pay, which is a little over or under 150 dollars for two twelves, why not just go with one really good trusted twelve instead of wasting your money on two pieces of ish?

by the way: one really well powered twelve can outhit two twelves...

yeah i spose your right. maybe i will look into one 12. How are the kicker comp CVR's? They are a very good price IMO. My buddy has some kind of square kicker and it hits pretty good. I'm going to look into a single 12. Its either going to be CVR's, some kind of 12", or else some Cadence 12".

What are you looking to get from a system? There are tons of brands and models and you can look around forever if you don't decide on what result you want from it and what price range you want to stay in.

well the stock system blows because there is no bass to it. i have never had a system before in any vehicle so i dont know how to describe it. i guess i want to feel the bass, but not be all distorted or anything.

A-Bahn is made to get loud, so that one kinda bit ya in the ****...And just because it gets loud doesnt mean it sounds like *****.
Thank you. You made my point. Nowhere in my post do I say my system is loud. I said the sound is great.

I have 2 12's that will rattle your eyes out
I prefer to enjoy music at decibel levels that will not cause permenant hearing loss.

since you think the bass from your one 10 Abahn is to (sic) much..
I said it produces more bass than you need. That is stated in the context of enjoying music somewhere near the level at which is was recorded.

I'm sure that your system can beat up my system...I don't care. But at normal listening volumes, my system produces a very high quality sound. That was the point of my post which "enraged" you.

Methinks you doth protest too much. Most mature people are looking for a system that they can enjoy. They are not into competition, and thus would be very happy with the sound quality of my system.

Enough flaming. If you felt offended by my post, I apologize. But I stand by what I wrote. fjdjlklk oops! I was just distracted by the Honda that just drove by...overdriving his subs, rattling all the sheet metal on his car, music clipping and distorting!

well i think i am going to look into dual 10" cadence subs, kickers, or pioneers. i was told by a guy who owns an audio shop that he sells all the major brand subs and he only runs cadence in his personal vehicles. so i might take his word. anyone tried cadence?

"Thank you. You made my point. Nowhere in my post do I say my system is loud. I said the sound is great."

--I never really said that you said it was loud. But you were b!tching about how you think people who buy subs just for the loudness are morons, and that loud subs sound like ****. WELLLLL-A Bahn is MADE to get loud, blow windows out-and they sound like shat...People dont buy A Bahn unless they have intentions of getting loud-thats all A Bahn is good at-and pretty much made for. Hence my "that one bit ya is the a$$" comment"

And for the second part you added to that to try 'en make me look bad-"And just because it gets loud doesnt mean it sounds like *****.", doenst have anything to do with that first part. I was stating that 'just becasue it gets loud it doesnt hafta sound like shat" Because YOU think if it gets loud it sounds like crap. You tried to make me look like I said 'If it gets loud it doenst sound like shat' WRONG. There are plenty of subs that are made to get loud, but still sound good. There are also plenty of subs made to get loud, that sound like shat-like A bahn.

"I prefer to enjoy music at decibel levels that will not cause permenant hearing loss."

--Good for you, I dont care. NOR was I trying to impress you or anything if you think thats what I was doing-this time you LEFT OUT the part were I was saying there are plenty of people that like loud systems-but due to things like sound deading-can listen to it cranked and not look like a$$es.
Again-you altered my post to make me look like a moron.

"I said it produces more bass than you need. That is stated in the context of enjoying music somewhere near the level at which is was recorded."

--If you think it produces more bass than you need-then you think its to much. NO one who can stand their bass, or thinks its more bass than needed, thinks its to much.

And a lot of people enjoy their music at very high volumes. So dont "state in the context of" thinking people are only enjoying their music at reasonable, low levels.

"I'm sure that your system can beat up my system...I don't care. But at normal listening volumes, my system produces a very high quality sound. That was the point of my post which "enraged" you."

--The part that enraged me was the part where you pretty much said that if it gets loud it sounds like **** and your gay, and where you said loud systems try to make up for lack of manhood.

"Methinks you doth protest too much. Most mature people are looking for a system that they can enjoy. They are not into competition, and thus would be very happy with the sound quality of my system."

--Me thinks you need to stop changing my post to make me look like a moron. And there are plenty of mature people that like LOUD systems.
Just because you like loud stuff doesnt mean you have the immature mind of some 16 yr old. punk a$$ed kid. And there are a lot of mature peole that are into competitions.

"Enough flaming. If you felt offended by my post, I apologize. But I stand by what I wrote. fjdjlklk oops! I was just distracted by the Honda that just drove by...overdriving his subs, rattling all the sheet metal on his car, music clipping and distorting! "

--Again-SHUT UP-not everyone who likes LOUD stuff is a moron like you. And if you know what your doing, listening to your stuff loud is not "overdriving...clipping..and distorting" your subs/music.
LISTENING TO LOUD MUSIC IS NOT ABUSING YOUR EQUIPMENT

To bad he didnt run you over as he drove by.

Sorry if I offended you

^^^ Well, I guess I am dealing with a very immature juvenile. I offer the branch and you choose to attack. Anyone who is enraged by a post has severe behavioral problems. Away with you. Your logic in responding to my points is totally obtuse. You have no idea what I was saying and you lack the cognitive ability to make an intelligent response to a well thoughtout argument. Your logic makes no sense and you obviously respond to intelligence with belligerence.

It was never my intention to attack you. You responded to my post like a juvenile. My point was simply that a lot of people will be very happy with middle of the road equipment. They don't need to
rattle your eyes out
. Most "enraged" males driving trucks with earsplitting audio volumes
try to make up for lack of manhood
. I never said that was you. You should have made a defense of your audio preferences with a well thoughtout argument instead of a juvenile rant.
Well, if the shoe fits, wear it.

Me thinks you need to stop changing my post to make me look like a moron.
You're right. You are doing fine on your own.
