Thanks guys.

I have pretty much narrowed it down to the Audiobahn ABC525Ts and the Infinity Kappa 50.7cs.

Thoughts on the two comparing/contrasting them?

Hey z, I really prefer not to argue about this, but you made a very broad generalization. OK? I'm not disputing that you have owned three sets of Memphis speakers and I'm not disputing that you like them. Memphis has some nice speakers. That, however, does not make your statement true; "unless your(sic) going into competitions, you really won't notice any difference between coax and components, as long as their(sic) good speakers". In this second post you point out that you didn't say to run out and buy any coax from Walmart and it would sound great. That's true and I think you had good intentions. You should give some specifics, though, when saying something as profound as what you did. When hundreds of people will be reading something on a forum, it should be accurate, because some of those reading may not have ANY knowledge at all. So anything inaccurate is very misleading.

Nobody wants to know what irks you. You state that these forums are for posting reliable facts. What one states as a fact is still regarded as opinion by others. I see post by people that I don't necessarily agree with but don't make it a point to tell them what I think, ooops... I guess I just told you what I thought of your comment.

The only thing your post did was embarrass a member and possibly limit their future contribution to this forum.

^and you dont think you kinda went out on him?

TO GET BACK ON TOPIC!!!.........................
Todd, Audiobahn sucks. Plain and simple....If your a chrome *****, likes something that gets somewhat loud, and is kinda cheap, then they are for you. But, if you like shatty sounding stuff go for them

IF those are your two options, get the Infinitys

Thanks Bartak, just the line I was looking for. I NEED someone to tell me what sucks and what is good and am putting my trust (and money) in the opinions of the great and knowledgeable members here.

Anyway, you said if those were my only two options get the Infinitys. Would you suggest something else? Basically I am looking to find the best set (value wise) on this page then finding them elsewhere for cheaper.

Thanks again folks, I really appreciate all of your help and patience!

I love the use of (sic) anywhere in text!! I haven't seen that since my research days in college. Well played!

Opinions....opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has one!

I guess I did kinda sound like Infinity wasnt the best either,-which they arent the best-but they do make some nice products. I would say you cant go wrong with any of the last 4 options-although some of them are probably more than you want to spend-not to mention, Crutchfield is usually higher than everyone else, but you get extras, plus good customer service.

Well, the way I see it, anyone "big" enough to own audio equipment and be offering advice on a public forum should be "big" enough to take a little heat if they post some erroneous information. Some things are debatable, some things are just wrong. If someone isn't sure, then they should refrain from advising others and incurring the wrath of old meanies like me. Give me a break! What do we have here, a bunch of 2nd graders posing as Ford lovers?

Toddzilla, have you checked out Diamond Audio speakers on ebay? There are some nice components for less than $200 shipped.

edit: didnt realize you wanted 5.25s

Go with one set of components and matching mids in the back, some of the brands already mentioned are good like rainbow, RE, cdt, etc..
