Infinity Kappas
or
MBquart Reference series components

or nicer... infinity perfects, or the MBQuart Premiums
the premiums absolutely rock- ive got the Premium PCE 216's up front, and 6x8 Discus DKE 168 (entry level mbquarts) in the back and have no problems at all

Cool

-- Polk components for the mids
-- JL sub (dual voice coil of course)
-- Equalizer (aka Pre-amp) or crossover (getting both is a waste of $$)
-- Amps (Alpine, Soundstream, HarmonKardon) - they typically run cool even after hours of play...make sure you use a 4 or 2 ohm power cable

this combination will provide the following benefits:
-- release any amount of negative stress
-- irritate the driver next to you at the traffic light
-- irritate a number of drivers when stuck in traffic
-- entertain the crowd at a tailgate or block party
-- backseat massager
-- let your friends know you're just around the corner and will be over in about 2 minutes

ENJOY

Theres plenty of SVC that will kick some ***. Soundsplinter will be releasing a new line of SVC that will be for competition use. There quite a few diffrent kind of EQs and there are active and passive crossovers, saying you'll only need one or the other doesn't make sense. Power wire doesn't come in 2 or 4 ohm. did you mean guage?

Like it makes a difference if its DVC or SVC, one is not superiour to the other, only difference if for concvenience of wireing.
