Component Speakers

I have a 2002 F-150 extended cab. I'm looking to get some component speakers for it and looking to spend about 250-275 on them, I'm not talking about the price on crutchfield.com either, those prices are way high and you can find the same products for almost half the price. So if you know of something more expesive than the quoted price, through it out here. I already have a 4-channel amp, also i already have an 10" HX2 with it's own RF amp. So all i'll need is the component speakers. What do you guys say i get?

Well you made it sound like you want two sets of comps, is that so? And do you want direct replacements for the mids, or 5.25s or 6.5s or what? Most people who do components in trucks will go with one set of components and maybe add an additional set of mid woofers with them. But you will also see set ups with mulitiple comps.

If its 6.5s then a lot of people use CDT or RE comps in the $150 price range for a single set. So go to www.reaudio.com or do a search for the CDT cl-6s http://www.woofersetc.com/product.as...9&1=240&3=3281. Some other decent brands to check out are focal and mb quart.

Also what is your 4 channel amp rated for?

I'll go with one set of componets with the mids, tweats, and crossovers, and then get some different 6x8's for the back. My 4-channel amp is only 400watts but i'm trying to just slide by with only having to purchase the component set and a pair of 6x8s. So whats up?

I have Infinity components in the front and back running off a Panasonic head unit and it sounds great.
