Need help with Tweeters

I have a 1998 standard cab and I want to custom mount them into the doors. So my question is, what would be the best part of the door to do this in? I was thinking about puting them into the piece that is in the far corners of the doors, but I'm not sure about this. What do you think and how would you go about it?

Also, a friend of mine told me to splice them into the head unit for more power, but I always thought you slpiced them into the door speakers.

It would be easiest to splice into door speakers and their impedance/frequency responce will not make too drastic a change to your power output. I would connect them and use double stick tape and try them a few different places first to see what sounds the best before actually mounting them anywhere.

Thanks man that answered one of my questions and I will probably try what you said to do to. Where did you end up puting yours?
