End caps oversized to give a 1/2" lip around the box and 3 1/2" above the floor to give clearance for the amps.

I think you'll also agree that Profile speakers are great for the money. This last system I put together was just an experiment to prove to my son that you don't need top of the line equipment to get great sound.

To answer your question directly is hard. I've owned lots of different brands of mids, tweeters and subs in the 20 years I've been in car audio. Profiles don't compare to the higher end Polks, Infinity, MB's or Boston... maybe not even their mid grade. My subs aren't JL or anything close. I used to install car stereos in my youth. The systems that impressed me weren't the $5000 ones that had the latest name brand systems with crazy wattage. The systems that caught my eye were the low budget systems that was matched well that sounded better than it should have and competed against the more expensive ones.

Profiles are nothing to brag about but will give you great sound with lots of pure RMS power at a modest price. You can always replace them later with Infinity or JL Audio.
