Did you have it installed at a shop, or did you put it in yourself?
If a shop put it in, take it back to them.

Is the amp turning on at all?

Check all your fuses, wires, if the HU has sub outs make sure they arent turned off, check your ground.

Check those things for now.

Power cuts on, checked everything and I installed it. If I touch the rca cables wrong the sub shakes so it tells me current is got to the box I guess.

Hope this doesn't sound condescending, but does the amp have high and low inputs? If it does, the speaker leads on a premium radio in many models coming out of the radio are low. The leads directly to the speaker are high. They must be hooked up correctly or "wone work"

You might have to turn on the preoutputs on the cd player you have. They might not be turned on. Look it up in cd player manual.

Maybe try putting in different rca's. Also, maybe the inputs or outputs on the amp or HU have a bad connection and have to be "just right" for it go.
