I just purchased a couple of boxes from them (1 for my 05 S-Screw and another for a friends Sport Trac) the box is done nicely and fits well under the seats. So I would say construction is up to bar with a box I would build myself, which I would normally do but time is a little to hard to come by right now.

I will let you know about the performance of the box in the next week or so as I should be installing them soon. I am guessing that it will be on par with all the other boxes out there (ProBox and SuperCrewSound)

I too just purchased a box from Moose Audio. Should be here in about a week.

Single box with Kicker CVR 10 for 2005 F-150 Supercab. I'll be using a JL Audio 250/1 amp.

I'll post later once installed.

Well I finally received my box from Music Moose....I had ordered a single 10", but instead they shipped me the dual 10"s...damn I just had to go get another set of subs, but Brent at Music Moose was more than willing to let me return it or keep it at the single 10" price (quick response). So i finally got it put it with 2 10" Kicker Comp DVC subs...and HOLY @#$@....I'm not a bass head, but man what a kick...fits like a glove..will be posting pics soon.

Hey Rain8868,

I'm glad to hear you like it. That puts me at ease. Hopefully mine will sound as good. However, I only have the single 10" with a Kicker CVR-10 2 ohm.

Hey Rain8868,
Is the mounting depth true to specs? I have noticed a lot of variance in other box's capabilities. Like the probox specs say 5.5", but I've read that they won't actually fit anything bigger than about 4.75-5.00". That looks to be about the depth of your subs...So is there room for more?

Regards,
C.

Hey C,

The mounting depths are very accurate. I was really worried when I received it because of the size of the box. But it seemed to be cut just for the subs that I got, I mean a true perfect fit...it hits so hard that it shakes the cd's on the dash board...

Hey Rain,

I just received my box from Musicmoose yesterday and I'm currently having my amps installed. I went with a 10" Kicker CVR but noticed that it is hitting the carpet. It looks like I have to cut some carpet on the floor to keep the sub from hitting. Did you experience this problem?

Finally got the amp hooked up and let me tell you, this thing hits extremely hard. I'm very impressed that a single 10" could sound this good. Hell, the side mirrors shake. The whole box/sub/mounting/terminals ran me $225 + shipping. Sounds 10x better than the JL Stealth box I had in my last truck that I paid $500 for.

However, I did have to cut the carpet and remove some of the padding where the sub was hitting. I hated doing this, since the truck only has 4,000 miles on it and I paid well over $35,000 for it. The 10" Kicker Comp VR is a little deeper than some, so the box had to be modified to fit, that's why it was a little tighter fit than some. I figured the box would be sitting over the cut carpet, so you would never know it's been cut. Even with the box removed, it's not all that noticable. I cut the carpet like a flap, so once the padding was removed, I simply laid the carpet back down. I gained a good 1/2" - 3/4" by removing the padding. Doesn't seem like much, but it made a world of difference.

I'll post pics soon.

I TOO GOT MY MUSICMOOSE DUEL 10 BOX FOR MY 04 SUPERCREW AND WELL I AM WAITING ON MY KICKER CRV 2 OHMS TO COME, I COULDN'T WAIT ANY MORE SO I PUT 1 OLD MTX THUNDER 5000 IN THERE AND IT HITS HARD BUT IT DOES SEEM TO HIT CARPET ON BIG NOTES SO I PURCHASED GRILLES FOR KICKERS WHEN THEY COME BUT MIGHT HAVE TO LOOK INTO YOUR PADDING REMOVAL TRICK MAYBE THAT WOULD GIVE CLEARANCE FOR EXTENTION OF SUB.. DID YOU PUT A SPACER IN OR DID YOU SAND THE BOTTOM OF BOX DOWN TO FIT MOUNTING DEPTH OF CRV, 05 CRVS ARE 5 9/16. YOURS THE SAME? OR 04 MODELS 5 1/16
MTX IS ONLY 5 INCH MOUNTING DEPTH...SO EASY FIT TO PLAY....

Hey CJhall222,

I went ahead and cut the carpet to make a flap, then removed the padding underneath. I then laid the carpet flap down, which covered the bare metal of the cab. Works much better! The padding is about 1/2" - 3/4" thick.

As for the box, musicmoose did all the modifications to make the sub fit.

Gives me the sound I was looking for. Not to loud outside the truck, but inside sounds awesome.

Greeny...

It's good to hear so many good things about Music Moose, I just ordered the dual 12" for my single cab today... it looks like a well built box and from the specs it shouldn't rape me of too much leg room... with all these compliments about music moose I can't WAIT to get mine!

Hey Greeny,

Any pics of cutting the carpet etc? I just got my Husky liner mats and it's hitting the mat and the carpet now..
