need help designing a new system

05 f-150 supercrew w/ premium 6 disc head unti (not audiophile) wife says stock Hu must stay, so I am stuck w. line level inputs on amp! looking to spend $1,000 total. thinking 10in sub in back in either a q-logic or other box (down firing) and not sure on which amp and do I do components up front or just good 2-way's. I was going to leave thwe rear doors alone and run them off the head unit just for some rear fill. A shop said to go w/ alpine SPR57lp 5x7 front door's and alpine MRVF345 amp w. alpine 10" 5we1042d sub in a box. another place was pushing memphis brand stuff but I think I wil stick with other brands. need help bad. help me design please

you can do seperates up front. pop off the grill from tthe bottom and the 6x8 is at the bottom there is a spot up by the window controls that has the hole for the tweeter. memphis, alpine, soundstream, polk, there are so many good brands to choose from. putting system in my momes 04 larite tomorrow. 10 sony sub, supercrew box andd sony amp. putting tweeters in the stock location. for everything i spent 350.00 . so pic you stuff wisely.

my 04' scab is getting a nice dose of kicker components front & rear and a pair of solobaric 8" subs downfiring in a custom box being built for under the rear seat. on top of that i have a kx700.5 amp to power it all the subs are powerful and require lilttle air space a good combo for trucks. i'm partial to kicker though... may i suggest paying attention to the details, ie - proper power for sub(s) and speakers , proper enclosure sizes etc all lead to a good sounding system regardless of the components... goodluck!

infinty sounds pretty sweet for mids i have 2 in the front doors, and 2 in the rear cab doors, with a 600 rms 4 channel rockford hokked up to them. Now as far as the bass goes I have 2 12' kicker L7 solo-barics with an infinity 1300 watt rms class d amp pushing those. It was kinda exspensive to do but well woth it.

I went with Memphis M class subs and very glad I did. They have the most clean and clear sound I have ever heard in a subwoofer.

get quality

I have a pioneer premier Deh960mp head unit and JL Audio componets, JL 4 way amp, and a 500/1 with 2 10W3v2 in a custom downfiring box..it was very tight to fit anything in my regular cab truck. VERY LOUD... JL audio also is worth the money cause it lasts...you can find decent deals on ebay cause of the quality of JL......I bought all mine new, it was pricey but worth it.
