I don't think that'd work for a 91, would it?

You can buy prefab truck boxes that'll fit behind the bench seat... or if you have adequate tools handy you can build one yourself. I've had a few different setups in my truck and just finished one last week.

I made a box for 4 8" subs...

I had to move the seat up one click but its ok...

THe box is 16"H x 56"W x 4" Top Depth x 8" Bottom Depth.
I had to move my seat up one click for it to fit.

Do you think 10's would fit in the same box with the same dimensions?

This box will accomodate subs probably up to 5" deep at the most. And it depends on how much airspace the 10s you want to use need... too small of a box will hurt low end extension.

What kind of subs did you use for your box, and what was the depth on them?

I sent you an email, there's a good deal on them that's ending today.

They are RE Audio RE8s and they have a 3 7/8" mounting depth.
Impressive little subs... Dupuis runs them in his truck too.

Remember that with speakers its not always the size that matters. I currently have (3) 8" Rockford T1's powered by a bd T1000, in a ported enclosure. I hit 144db's on the dash legal. A guy on my audio team made a ported enclosure for a ranger that houses (10) 6 1/2" Rockford HE2's and hits 149db's. The port is tuned at 40hz and hits just as low as a 15" When space is an issue, go with multiple small diameter 8 ohm DVC good quality subs, and a dump truck load of clean power.

Oh my, you have one of the setups that I've been thinking about! I can finally see what they look like....

I've been thinking of putting 4 RE 8's behind my seat, or two 10 JL's behind it...are the RE's hitting low and hard? or would two 10's work better?

Damn, that is one good looking box. I've been staring at it for the past 5 minutes wishing it was mine

re:my truck is better

what type of JL's are you considering putting in; just wanted to let you know (because most people don't) that a single W6 or W7 have a mounting depth and required airspace than most 12"s. It is extremely difficult (and expensive if you pay someone else to do it) to mount them in a regular cab. The W0 or W3 line would fit quite nicely and the W3 series can be had cheap and sound great in a dual 10" setup.

re:texas_fordlover

Anything but W1's. I didn't know that they had that deep of a mounting depth....
